Help us to discover the flora and fauna of the Burslem Branch Canal!
Do you know your ragged robin from your red campion?
If you can identify a butterfly or mushroom, enjoy some casual bird spotting, or just want to learn more about the incredible nature hiding in plain sight, join us for our first nature walk of the Burslem Branch Canal.
The disused Burslem Branch Canal is an incredible post-industrial site. With a lack of human intervention in recent years the site is now teaming with life. The site is abounding with burrows (we already know there are badgers on site!) and offers a great foraging habitat for insects and small creatures.
We’re looking for local experts and enthusiasts to help us understand more about the biodiversity and environmental value of the Burslem Branch Canal as a green corridor.
If you have any interest or experience in these areas and would like to get involved, please do get in touch via gemma@mossnayloryoung.com
Please save the date of Sunday 21st November! More information will be coming shortly on our Social Media pages and website.
